To Stage or Not To StageThat seems to be the big question when I meet with sellers these days, especially if their property is vacant.
So What is Home Staging?
Let’s face it, no one is fooled into thinking a seller lives in a perfect home. But to put it simply, home staging is a way of presenting your home for sale in a way that helps prospective buyers to imagine themselves living there.
It depersonalizes and declutters your space. Removing family photos and those personal treasures allows buyers to so see a blank slate that they can put their own personal touch on. I always tell sellers to think of putting away those extra items as ‘pre-packing’.
Adding a few items of furniture, changing, redecorating or reorganizing can help buyers see the value of your home and this step is of great importance.
